Biography 

Paul Rossi (b.1957, Boston, MA USA) specializes in painting, linocuts, mosaic. His work has been exhibited since 1975 in Boston, New York, Paris, Milan, Rome, Beijing, Shang Hai and various locations throughout the US and France including the Centre Georges Pompidiou, Paris, Grand Palais, Paris, Museo della Civilta Romana, Rome.

Rossi completed a private apprenticeship with Donald Purdy in painting between 1972 and 1975, and holds a BFA  in painting from the University of Connecticut.. He has designed graphics, set and costumes for numerous dance companies, musicians and theater groups in Europe and North America, including the Cirque Plume, Besancon, France. He is currently working on a join project music and visual art with Alexandra Aubert, composer, pianist and singer, Santiago, Chile.

Rossi is a member of L'Entraide des Travailleurs Intellectuels (French Intellectual workers Union) Paris, France and La Maison des Artistes, Paris France (French Cultural ministry).

His works are in public and private collections in the US, Canada, France, Italy, China, Japan, Brazil, Spain, England, Ireland, Finland, Sweden, Poland, Belgium, Netherlands and Russia. This includes the William Benton Museum of Art, Storrs, CT USA and the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute, Williamstown, MA  USA. Grants and awards include: Ludwig Vogelstein Foundation Grant, Massachusetts Council on the Arts grant, NY State Arts Council grant, Finalist Award, XXV Grand Prix de la Côte D,Azur, Nice and France.
